Information about Americorps:
AmeriCorps is a national network of programs that engages more than 70,000
Americans each year in intensive service to meet critical needs in communities
throughout the nation. For the past two years, Behrman has hosted an Americorps
program for tutors in grades K- 3. Americorps volunteers make a difference!
AmeriCorps offers several ways to get involved, both part-time and full-time service
programs are offered. Members receive guidance and training so they can make a
contribution that suits their talents, interests, and availability.
If you are interested in signing up to be an Americorps volunteer at Behrman for the
2010-2011 school year, you may contact Mrs. Goins, the Americorps coordinator at
